Susan is an attorney in BMD’s Cleveland office and a dedicated member of the firm’s Litigation group. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation and construction law, advocating fiercely for her clients in complex disputes. With a deep understanding of business and reputational risks, Susan works tirelessly to achieve favorable outcomes and provide her clients with peace of mind, both personally and professionally. Susan also has a unique background in defamation law, including matters involving online impersonation, harassment, and nonconsensual explicit imagery.

Overview

Susan earned her law degree summa cum laude from Cleveland State University College of Law, where she served as an Editor on the Cleveland State Law Review. During law school, she gained valuable experience as an extern for the Honorable Michael P. Donnelly of the Ohio Supreme Court. She also served as a personal bailiff for the Honorable Richard A. Bell in the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. Prior to joining BMD, Susan honed her litigation skills as an associate attorney at both a defamation law firm and a white-collar criminal defense firm.

Susan is a zealous advocate who takes pride in her meticulous preparation, strategic thinking, and unwavering commitment to her clients. She understands that legal disputes can be stressful and works diligently to navigate her clients through each step of the process, always striving to deliver the best possible results.

Outside of the office, Susan enjoys volunteering in her community. She also finds joy in playing piano and exploring the scenic trails of the Cleveland Metroparks.
