Overview

Mercedes is an employment and labor law attorney dedicated to assisting employers, small or large, with various workplace challenges, including legal compliance. Mercedes advocates for employee rights ensuring fair treatment in the workplace. With a practical and balanced approach, Mercedes focuses on finding effective and equitable solutions.

Before being admitted to the Ohio bar, Mercedes was a law clerk in BMD’s Summer Associate Program for two consecutive years. During this time, she gained valuable experience drafting employee handbooks, reviewing non-compete agreements, and assisting in wage and hour compliance issues.

During her time at Capital University Law School, Mercedes was an advocate on the Black Law Students Association Moot Court team where she developed strong oral advocacy skills.

In her leisure time, Mercedes enjoys crafting, traveling, and spending time with her dogs, Max and Maya.
