Scott Sandrock Awarded the Outstanding Eagle Scout Award

BMD is proud to recognize its member Scott P. Sandrock being awarded the Outstanding Eagle Scout Award by the Boy Scouts of America.  This award recognizes Eagle Scouts who have later achieved distinction in their professional careers and leadership through community service.  A limited number of these awards are presented annually.  The Award was presented at the Annual Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner in January.

Scott is a partner in our Akron office concentrating in business matters, healthcare transactions, franchising and business succession.  He has published over 50 articles including contributing to three books.  His articles have been cited as legal authority by the Supreme Courts of the States of Illinois, Pennsylvania and Connecticut, as well as the United States Federal Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.  He is a member of numerous bar associations and currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Bar Applicant Committee of the Stark County Bar Association.  He was selected by his peers as a Life Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Association.  Scott is an honors graduate of the University of Notre Dame and The Ohio State University College of Law.

Scott has been extensively involved in leadership positions in community organizations.  He has served as the President of Community Services of Stark County, the Chapter Chairman for the American Red Cross, President of Prescription Assistance Network, President of Canton City Schools Foundation, President of the Buckeye Council Boy Scouts of America, President of Family First and President of the Rotary Club of Canton.  He has extensive service in other Scouting positions including serving as a unit leader, national staff positions at national events, and as an advisor on multiple high adventure trips.

Scott serves as a Trustee of the Austin Bailey Foundation, the Rocco Foundation and the Stark County Dental Society Charitable Foundation.  He has provided leadership to numerous community fundraising projects and campaigns.  He has also served our community as a village councilman and as a member of the Jackson Township Zoning Commission.  He has received other community recognitions for his ongoing community service.
