Akron-based law firm wants to serve existing and future Stark County customers.

Summit County-based law firm Brennan Manna & Diamond has opened an office in Jackson Township.

The firm is located in offices at 4518 Fulton Road NW. Brennan Manna & Diamond has clients in Stark County and other related opportunities that led to the decision to open here.

Staffing the local office will be Alex J. McCallion, who operates a national commercial litigation and corporate law practice; Kyle A. Johnson, a trial lawyer focused on intellectual property, commercial, construction and appellate litigation; and Michael D. De Matteis, who focuses on corporate and real estate. All have deep roots in the Canton and Stark County region, according to the law firm.

“We are looking forward to serving the needs of our clients from our new Canton office,” McCallion said in a news release.

Matthew A. Heinle, the firm’s president, said the expansion strategy is driven by what is in the best interest of clients, who have shown support for opening a Stark County office.

“Part of our strategy is to attract Stark County attorneys who are interested in our core values and our business platform,” Heinle said. Formed in 2000, Brennan Manna & Diamond has more than 70 lawyers at offices in Akron, Cleveland, Columbus and Florida.

Portman to amend his opioid bill (CARA 2.0) to include the CRIB Act.
