BMD’s Director of Marketing Jennifer Shankleton Elected as President of the LMA Midwest Region for 2023

News Article

BMD is delighted to share this exciting news as a recognition of Jennifer’s leadership and knowledge within the legal marketing industry. Jennifer has served as a Director-at-Large on LMA’s Midwest Regional Governing Board since 2020. She is highly respected in her field where she has delivered successful results in business development and professional training programs for attorneys for more than 20 years. Jennifer is also a skilled professional in brand management, marketing communications, public and community affairs and strategic client initiatives.

Jennifer joined BMD in February 2020, having previously served as the Director of Marketing at several mid-sized Ohio-based law firms.  Immediately after her arrival, the pandemic hit and Jennifer assisted BMD and its Leadership Team in expertly navigating the uncharted and unknown.  Where most saw challenge, Jennifer and the BMD Marketing Department saw opportunity.  During the pandemic, BMD experienced continued growth with the opening of its new office in Orlando, Florida and onboarding over 20 new attorneys throughout BMD’s eight office locations.

Jennifer is well-regarded by both her peers and the attorneys she has helped to market and develop. Richard Marsolais, 2022 LMA Midwest Region President, said, “Jen has been serving LMA for many years as both a leader with the Ohio Local Steering Committee and then as a member of the LMA Midwest Region Board of Directors. I was delighted when she joined me as co-chair of the LMA Midwest Regional Conference and together we created a great planning team, which culminated in a very successful conference. Jen is a great contributor providing her keen insights along with some good humor and a true compassion for others. I am thrilled that she will be taking over as President of the LMA Midwest Region in 2023.”

Amanda Waesch, BMD Vice President and Marketing and Business Development Chair, says, “Jennifer’s nomination and election by her peers as LMA Midwest Region President is a true testament to her talent and expertise.  She has worked tirelessly throughout her career and has proven herself to be a subject matter expert and true professional.  BMD and the clients we serve are honored to have Jennifer as our Director of Marketing and working with our team of professionals in fulfilment of our core values, which mirror LMA’s mission and purpose.”

Across the firm, BMD’s marketing and business development efforts have benefited tremendously from Jennifer’s professional service and we are proud of her leadership role at LMA as a professional of great talent and character. Congratulations, Jennifer!
